Privacy Policy
At PitchWhite Productions, we take the privacy of our patrons, cast, and crew, very seriously.
We collect personal information from cast members and crew such as contact details, emergency contact details, medicare information, suburb of residence, and identity. This information is stored safely with the Production Manager, Stage Manager, and Director of the respective shows. Once the production has completed, the information is deleted from our record. We do not provide this information to anyone unless it is a matter of emergency.
Often as a part of the process of purchasing tickets for our show, patrons are required to supply information such as basic contact details. These details are only used in the event we need to contact the individual patron for a matter concerning the show, and are not used for any publicity means.
On our website we have a newsletter signup form for anyone who wishes to be on our newsletter, this is the only instance where emails are added to the newsletter record.
If you have any concerns about how your information is being used, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via email.
We produce a wide range of themes and topics in our shows, while some are more light-hearted and cheery, some are more darker and sinister. It is our believe that trigger warnings should be available upon request, but not publicly displayed. If you have any concerns regarding the content of an upcoming production, please reach out to us and we will assist you with sensitivity and care.
We also respect that the content of a given show is not necessarily the beliefs and values of the performers or production team. Including the playwright. Some difficult topics need to be discussed, and in some cases it is necessary to display some advocative examples of these topics in order for the message of the piece to work. If you have any concerns regarding the content of one of our productions you’ve seen, please reach out and we can talk about it. There are also plenty of helplines available if you are effected by one of our shows.
Audience Etiquette Policy
We value respect and humanity in our audiences. Everyone that comes to see one of our shows has paid money, taken time out of their day, and taken the risk on an unknown show. For this reason we expect all audience members to comply with traditoinal theatre etiquette. This includes turning your phone completely off for the performance, refraining from chatting or muttering, eating only quiet food items and drinking silently, arriving on time, and waiting for the interval or the end to get up and leave the room. A big part of what goes into making high-quality theatre is considering every aspect of the room, from each hue of the lights, to each decibel of the sounds, to the quality of paint used on the set pieces and the accuracy of the costumes. Everything plays a part in the illusion of theatre, and both the cast and crew will have spent months and months planning and actioning these elements so that audiences are engaged and sucked into the show. When audience participants disrespect the room and the etiquette, it can break the illusion and momentum for everyone around them. It’s not only annoying to hear loud wrappers crinkle a few rows down, or to hear people muttering behind you, it withdraws you from being invested in the show, and that’s not something that you can get back without watching the show a second time. All our ushers and crew are well versed in what good theatre etiquette is and what is and isn’t appropriate, you can talk to any of them if you have any questions about what is acceptable.
